So today I received my free Senseo machine. A few months ago I took this survey to see if I qualified for a free machine. I hadn’t heard anything for a while and figured I was rejected but then about a week ago I got a “reminder” email saying that I just needed to fill in my address info and pay the $15 shipping and handling fee to get my free machine. Excitement ensued. This is what I got:
It came with a free canister to store coffee pods, a bag of medium roast coffee pods, and some $20 off coupons for friends. The only disappointment I’ve come across is that they don’t offer hot chocolate pods yet. As someone who doesn’t ever drink straight coffee, I assumed that the Senseo was like the Tassimo single cup system that I got my Dad for xmas a few years ago. He loves his, it has Tazo tea and Starbucks pods as options in addition to hot chocolate. Both systems has coffee pods/tea pods/etc. available at Target, Jewel and I’m pretty sure the Dominicks. If anyone is interested in the Senseo and wants to give the survey a try, click here. If you aren’t lucky enough to qualify and you still want one, let me know, I have a bunch of these $20 off coupons.I’m also amazed to see what a community single-serve coffee machines have on the internet. There are blogs, companies that make their own pods that are compatible with different systems, etc. I guess it’s not that amazing, just unexpected.
