Yesterday, on my way to meet up with Sam and Missy I was on State St. and passed the new Pinkberry knockoff that has recently opened in Chicago: Berry Chill. What was more exciting then the possibility of meeting my Pinkberry cravings without having to move to NYC or So. Cal was seeing my first Smart Car in the US. Berry Chill had it plastered in their advertising as it will be used to deliver their treats to customers, but looking beyond the letters covering the tiny car I decided to delve into what the specs were like in these company cars.
For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, either because you’ve never traveled to Europe, or because you live in a box, they look like this:

They are available in three different models, all come with a manual transmission so the options change with features like the sound system, etc. The mid range model starts around $14K. Gas mileage is shown as 40/45 which is pretty good. I mostly think they’re cool because you can back into parallel parking spots. Since everyone who lives on my block parks like an ass hole, this would come in handy as it’s the same width as the gaps in between the cars parked on my street.
